Reflecting on Two Years of COVID and Vaccine Turmoil (Part 2)

Late 2020: When Reasonable Proposals Were Ignored

Allan: This is getting heavy, but since we’re at it, let’s review a bit more.
By the summer of 2020, quite a lot had come to light. I remember being impressed by a paper titled "Predictions on the Actual State of COVID-19 and Proposals for the Future" by Professor Yasushi Takahashi (International University of Health and Welfare).
His points were:

• COVID-19 is less toxic than influenza; in many cases, the body defeats it at the "innate immunity" stage without even becoming infected.
  
• In Japan, 30–45% of the population likely already encountered SARS-CoV-2. If it didn't enter the cells, antibody tests would remain negative.
  
• East Asians, for some reason, have a much higher rate of "winning with innate immunity" or experiencing only mild symptoms without ever developing antibodies compared to Westerners.
  
• One reason for severe cases is that antibodies from previous "S-type" coronaviruses might cause Antibody-Dependent Enhancement (ADE), leading to sudden deterioration.
  
• This simulation explains why deaths were extremely low in Japan despite lacking the draconian measures seen in the West.
  
• If this were a virus as powerful as the flu (where exposure leads to 100% antibody positivity), it would mean 100 million Japanese hadn't been exposed yet. If that were true, we’d eventually see 5 million severe cases and 3 million deaths. Looking at the reality, that clearly wasn't the case.
  
• Therefore, instead of blanket bans, we needed measures tailored to the significantly different risks by age group.
  
• It was crucial to monitor patient trends and conduct genetic analysis to see if new strains were more virulent or more contagious, and prepare a system to respond accordingly.
  
• As long as the virus remained at current levels, the criteria for handling mild cases should be loosened.
  
• A system to collect "Big Data" on drug efficacy within Japan was urgent, as we couldn't rely on Western data for an Asian population that reacts differently.
  

...And so on. Even reading it now, it was an incredibly appropriate proposal.

Goro: I read that too. People were making accurate predictions and proposals as early as July 2020, yet the government completely ignored them.

Yūdai: It’s always the same in this country. We have brilliant, sincere scholars and front-line workers, but the politicians don't just fail to use them—they actively get in their way.

Allan: Vaccines hadn't appeared yet, but the global "vaccine longing" was already peaking. I felt a sense of wrongness even then. How could they make a safe one in just a year or two?

Goro: You could see governments making these opaque "secret deals" with pharmaceutical companies.
By then, it was clear that severe COVID cases involved a cytokine storm—meaning the immune system itself was causing the damage. I doubted from the start whether a safe and effective vaccine could be made for a virus with those characteristics.

Allan: Even the PCR debate... I realized that demanding tests for asymptomatic people was just mental rigidity. That money and manpower should have gone toward maintaining the healthcare system and early detection for the severely ill.
Instead, people who normally would have had surgeries or treatments were delayed and died. They weren't victims of COVID; they were victims of the "COVID Panic."

Goro: The media kept fanning the flames of "vaccine hope," but wouldn't it have been more rational to use clinical data from existing drugs?

Allan: Exactly. If it’s a "mysterious new virus," how can you develop a vaccine for it so quickly? Vaccine development should take at least ten years.
Then the Tokyo Olympics were postponed, the debate over the next year dragged on... it was such a barren year. They could have done so much, but instead, they did things like the "GoTo Travel" campaign which only made things worse.

Yūdai: It wasn't just "wasted" time. It was time during which precious things were lost and society began to collapse. I wonder if we can ever get it back. Probably not.

2020: Fewer Deaths Than Before COVID

Allan: Interestingly, in 2020—the year of all that noise—the number of domestic deaths was actually lower than the previous year. Total deaths in 2020 were 1,372,648, down by 8,445 from 2019.

Goro: But then 2021 hit, and everything changed. Total deaths in 2021 reached a post-war high of 1,452,289. A sudden jump of 67,745 (4.9%). They blamed the Delta variant and the aging population, but is that really it?

Yūdai: If it’s just the "aging population," why did deaths drop in 2020 for the first time in 11 years? Did all the old folks suddenly get younger for one year? It makes no sense.

Goro: They claimed deaths from "old age" and "aspiration pneumonia" increased, which is strange. If you died and tested positive for PCR, you were labeled a "COVID death." So the people labeled as "old age" deaths must have been PCR negative.
What was the actual difference between 2020 and 2021? It was the start of the vaccine rollout. Healthcare workers started in February, then the elderly. They were jabbing everyone in nursing homes, even people over 100.
I heard so many stories—not reported in the media—of healthy seniors getting the shot and dying almost immediately. There was a sort of "gag order" in those facilities; it was treated as a taboo.

Allan: I’d call 2021 the "Year of the Vaccine Disaster." The media reported nothing but "new cases" and "clusters," hiding the reality of vaccine injuries. Governments worldwide launched "Vaccine Passports," committing human rights violations like autocracies. In Germany, France, and Italy—places we thought valued liberty—you couldn't even enter a restaurant or board a bus without a shot.
There were protests, like the Freedom Convoy in Canada, but they were barely reported in Japan. The censorship just kept tightening.

Yūdai: Westerners always go to extremes. Compared to that madness, I almost thought Japan's "irresponsible and incompetent" government was better.

Dissenting Doctors and Media Assassination

Allan: Doctors and scholars worldwide started shouting, "This vaccine is no good," providing evidence of the dangers.

Goro: Any sane scientist would be suspicious of a vaccine that takes less than a year. Here is what some prominent Japanese voices were saying:

• Dr. Satoshi Omura (Nobel Laureate): "The media is fanning an abnormal level of fear. A vaccine in under a year is impossible. There are many signs this virus was man-made."
  
• Dr. Toshiko Masaki: "I was taught in med school that 'testing positive,' 'being infected,' and 'developing symptoms' are different things, but no one points this out. I refuse to inject my patients with something that hasn't had the 10 years of testing required for safety."
  
• Dr. Toku Takahashi (Professor Emeritus): "This is a DNA/RNA vaccine unlike anything humanity has seen. We don't know what it will do to the immune system. Don't take it!"
  
• Dr. Takayuki Miyazawa (Kyoto University): "Our biggest fear is that the vaccinated will become more vulnerable to COVID. I hope I’m wrong."
  
• Dr. Mitsugu Shiga: "The media is shouting 'Get jabbed!' like they're ordering soldiers to attack in a war. We must not forget how the media fanned the flames of WWII, leading 3.1 million Japanese to their deaths."
  

Allan: Among experts, it’s common knowledge that vaccines always carry the risk of ADE (Antibody-Dependent Enhancement). Yet, the government gave "special emergency approval" for mRNA and DNA vaccines despite knowing nothing about their long-term effects.
If you read the official approval reports for Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca, it’s enough to make you dizzy.

7.R.3.4 Risk of Disease Exacerbation Following Administration of This Product

The applicant explains the risk of disease exacerbation following administration of this product as follows.
Although the presence or absence of a risk of disease exacerbation due to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination is currently unknown, a risk of disease exacerbation due to vaccination has been reported in animal studies with SARS-CoV, which is similar to SARS-CoV-2, and it has been suggested that a Th2-dominant immune response is associated with this (PLoS ONE 2012; 7: e35421).

Based on the above, vaccine-associated disease exacerbation, including vaccine-associated respiratory disease exacerbation, is designated as a significant potential risk, and information will continue to be collected through post-marketing clinical trials and post-marketing surveys both domestically and internationally.

They literally state: "Whether there is a risk of disease enhancement from this vaccine is currently unknown... we will continue to collect information post-marketing."
Basically, they said: "We don't know, but we’re going ahead anyway." Is that not incredibly irresponsible?

The list of “Potential Adverse Events” that Pfizer reluctantly released in response to a court order. There are over a thousand of these “adverse events” listed one after another.

I believe we are currently in a state akin to wartime. Mainstream media, centered on television and newspapers, can also become the primary battleground in this information war. In fact, major media outlets have imposed news blackouts, and only highly biased information is being disseminated. Is there any basis for assuming that “what’s on TV must be true”? Experts and authorities promoting COVID-19 vaccines in the mainstream media should explicitly state whether they have received financial compensation from pharmaceutical companies. Even if the money isn’t directly related to the COVID-19 vaccine, if there has been a long-standing collusive relationship, it would not be easy to go against the pharmaceutical companies’ wishes.

There have been cases where healthy people have died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Yet in most cases, these are dismissed as having an unclear causal relationship. Real bullets and bombs aren’t necessarily used in modern warfare. In this war, weren’t vaccines the “bullets”? Who fired them? Was it the healthcare workers who administered the vaccines, the mainstream media promoting them and the authorities appearing there, public agencies like the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, or the government itself? As the number of COVID-19 vaccine side effects and deaths increases, the public’s scrutiny will only grow more intense.

Why do I end up hitting them even though I know it’s dangerous?

Goro: Why does everyone still go to get the shot then? Even highly educated people, government critics, and "info-savvy" folks seem to walk into the clinics as if they're under a hypnotic spell. It’s like a bad dream.

Allan: Hypnosis... well, it feels more like the "collective hysteria" at the start of a war.
Yudai-san mentioned a “sense of elation,” but I think it was really a combination of a sense of elation that defies logic, a sense of duty, and perhaps a sense of urgency—all of which caused so many people to act in unison. Japan did not make vaccination mandatory. Even the government has officially stated, “Stop COVID and vaccine discrimination.”

We ask everyone to refrain from forcing others—such as colleagues or people around you—to get vaccinated, or from treating those who have not been vaccinated in a discriminatory manner. (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare)

Unjust discrimination based on misunderstandings or prejudice regarding COVID-19 and vaccination is not tolerated. (Ministry of Justice)

Yūdai: Humans have a strange habit of doing things they know are bad for them. They'll say, "What was I thinking?" later, but in the moment, they just drift along.

Goro: For the first shot, maybe. But the second? The third? Even after the government admits hundreds have died? Even after peer-reviewed journals admit it doesn't work on Omicron? Even after being told the third shot is the most dangerous? I’m speechless that people still line up.

Yūdai: I heard the numbers for the third shot are dropping, though.

Goro: Dropping, but half the population already took it! Japan is one of the few countries in the world that complied so obediently.
(Note: Ultimately, Japan began administering its seventh dose in September 2023. There are few, if any, examples worldwide of a country administering so many doses.)

The "Placebo" Theory? 0.5% Toxicity?

Yūdai: But many people take it and are perfectly fine. If most people are okay, isn't it also wrong to fan the flames of anxiety?

Goro: There’s a terrifying theory about that. Some say only a tiny fraction of the vials contain the actual "active" vaccine, while the rest are extremely diluted or just placebos—saline solution.

Yūdai: That’s a new one. Is it true?

Allan: It might not be a total lie. Someone analyzed the U.S. CDC's VAERS data by lot number. They found that adverse events and deaths were heavily concentrated in specific lots.
According to that research, only about 0.5% of the products have high toxicity, while 70-80% only cause minor side effects like headaches.

Yūdai: What would be the point of that?

Goro: If everyone dropped dead immediately after the "real" shot, they’d have to stop the program instantly. To avoid that, they might be using placebos for most people to keep the rollout going.

Yūdai: That’s news to me. Is that true?

Allan: It doesn’t seem like we can completely rule out the possibility that it’s a lie.
The U.S. CDC publishes something called the “Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS),” and someone analyzed the data by vaccine batch. Apparently, they found that the number of adverse events and deaths following vaccination varies drastically depending on the batch.

According to that, products with strong toxicity account for about 0.5% of the total, while 70% to 80% of the products only cause side effects like headaches after vaccination.

Yūdai: Hmm? What does that mean?

Goro: Well, it means that if they gave everyone the real thing, people would be dropping like flies, so most of what they’re giving is a diluted version. Even if it’s diluted, it’s still harmful, but it’s not immediately fatal.

Allan: If you believe that mRNA spike proteins are toxic—and Pfizer itself noted over 1,200 types of adverse events—then you can't have everyone taking it at once.
Now, people will laugh and call this a "wild conspiracy theory." But given how bizarre this entire rollout has been, I can't dismiss it. In this climate, anything seems possible.

Yūdai: If that’s true, isn't it good news? Fewer victims.

Allan: Yes, if most people are fine, that's great. But we don't know the ratio, and we don't know if the theory is even true.

Goro: On April 13, 2022, the Ministry of Health reported 1,667 "deaths following vaccination." If that represents only the 0.5% who got the "real" stuff, then the death toll if everyone got the real thing would be 333,400. That "intent" makes my skin crawl.
And if it’s true, the "diluted" ones might not be fatal now, but could cause issues later—a "time-lag attack." Spike proteins can cause micro-clots leading to myocarditis, strokes, cancer... things that are hard to link back to the vaccine. We might see a world where excess deaths just keep slowly rising for years.

Allan: Many scholars say exactly that. We’ve never experienced this kind of "vaccine" before. If it messes with the immune system, global mortality rates will likely rise.

Goro: I’m terrified that the abnormal jump in 2021 excess deaths is exactly that starting to happen.

Yūdai: Probably so.

Goro: Why are you being so casual?! If it’s true, it’s a catastrophe!

Yūdai: Even if it is, there's nothing we can do now. One must simply accept that such things happen.

Goro: You can say that because you don't have much time left anyway! I still have things I want to do!

Yūdai: Yes, yes. Do your best to stay alive and witness it. Record what happens next. We’ll likely be dead before then.

Allan: Think of it as a thrilling puzzle game. If you don't keep that kind of mental distance, the stress alone will shorten your life.

Goro: Sob... sob...
